Dear Mr.. Conner
I read Catholic Charities statement correcting your stand on Abortion but there is quite a bit missing in your statement. Catholic Charities would support the rationing of health care that would open the door to euthanasia? Would Catholic Charities support health care reform that would cut services that patients are currently receiving because of cost cutting measures? Does Catholic Charities support the government making assessments on individual persons quality of life? Does Catholic Charities support putting future generations into debt and bankrupting our country? Does Catholic Charities support federal funding of sterilization, birth control? By saying you are for health care reform you condone all these issues. To say you are for health care reform is vague and misleading. Many people could be for some type of health care reform. Many opponents of health care reform are caring people who are working daily to improve the quality of life for their neighbors and people in their own communities. What is at issue now is that, the current health care reform legislation is a threat to our individual freedoms and rights. Specifically a right to LIFE. Please come out and make a strong statement in support of life at all stages, and please make it clear that no Catholic can support current health care reform legislation in it's current form ,as it puts the unborn, the elderly, the infirmed, the disabled and future generations all at great risk. I will be looking for a concerted effort on the part of Catholic Charities to correct and clarify it's previous statements on health care reform. As always I will continue to pray for Catholic Charities and it's workers.
All for Jesus, through Mary and in union with ST. Joseph,
