  • This issue did not just go away, folks. Senomyx is still bragging about the fact that they're using HUMAN EMBRYONIC KIDNEY CELLS to test their "flavorings" and brags that it's the "gold standard" for "high quality beverages."

Here is a link to the products included in the boycott. Please take the time to read over it and remember which ones are supporting this brutal, disgusting practice.

    -Pepsi
    -Mountain Dew
    -Sierra Mist
    -Seattle's Best
    -Starbucks Frappucino and Double Shot
    -Aquafina
    -Mug Root Beer
    -No Fear
    -Tazo
    -Ocean Spray
    -AMP energy
    -Lipton
    -Propel
    -SoBe
    -Fiesta Miranda
    -Tropicana

  • I already knew Pepsi was doing it and have not drank it since, but didn't know about the other products, so thanks for sharing. Aside from Pepsi, the only thing on that list I remember drinking in the past is Tropicana, but that's not usually the kind of orange juice I drink.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

Pretty sure those other products are owned by PepsiCo. Hence why they are boycotted.

I too have been boycotting pepsi since it was announced on CatholicFamilyNews.

  • Stealing this list from AQ by Poster KG:

    PepsiCo

PepsiCo Incorporated is a global Fortune 500 corporation headquartered in Purchase, hαɾɾιson, New York, with interests in the manufacturing, marketing and distribution of beverages, grain-based snack foods and other products. If you hadn’t guessed it, its main product is Pepsi Cola, but soda pop is not the company’s only product. In fact, a teenager with the munchies could easily leave a convenience store with three or four PepsiCo products without realizing it (or caring).

PepsiCo is a “Premium” member of the Council of Foreign Relation and of the Brookings institute, two of the most important organizations for the world’s elite (as seen in the article Naming Names: Your Real Government). The chairman and CEO of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, is part of the World Economic Forum. Within these organizations, executives from PepsiCo and other mega-corporations like Sony (the largest label in the music industry), Nike (the largest shoe seller in the world), Rockefeller Group International, and Lockheed Martin (the largest defense company in the world), work alongside various heads of state (including past US presidents), policy-makers (such as current US Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton) and image makers (like Tom Brokaw and George Clooney), to develop political, social and economic opinions and recommendations affecting entire countries. The policies favored by these organizations are collectively steering the world towards a unified world government and a single world currency, in what is often referred as a “nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr”.

    PepsiCo brands include:

    Drinks:
    AMP
    Brisk
    Mountain Dew
    Ocean Spray
    Mist
    Aquafina
    Lipton Ice Tea
    MUG
    Pepsi
    Sobe
    Gatorade
    Tropicana
    No Fear Energy Drink
    Propel Enhanced Water
    Starbucks (retail products)

    Food
    Lay’s
    Doritos
    Tostitos
    Cheetos
    Fritos
    Sun Chips
    Baked!
    Frito Lay Dips
    Baken-Ets
    Chester’s Puffcorn
    Cracker Jack
    El Isleno Plantain Chips
    Frti-Lay Peanuts
    Funyuns
    Gamesa
    Grandma’s
    Matador
    Maui Style Potato Chips
    Miss Vickie’s
    Munchies
    Munchos
    Natural
    Nut Harvest
    Quaker
    Rold Gold
    Ruffles
    Sabritones
    Santitas
    Smartfood
    Spitz
    Stacy’s

Yep, even the good ol’ trustworthy Quaker guy is part of PepsiCo.

    The Spin-Off Company

PepsiCo also feeds millions daily through its spin-off company, Yum!, which owns restaurant chains including Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Hot ‘n Now, East Side Mario’s, D’Angelo Sandwich Shops, Chevys Fresh Mex, California Pizza Kitchen and Stolichnaya.

  • Wow, thanks for posting that LP. Do they use that stuff to test the flavor of their foods, too? The only two items on their food list I ever eat are Lays and Ruffles. Alot of people like Doritos, but I personally always found them to taste bad.

  • It's a sick, sick world we live in.

Oh well, guess I'll be switching to Old Dutch products from now on. (Yes, I know I shouldn't be eating this kind of junk to begin with, but I'm going to do it anyway, so...)

  • Dorito's?!?  Rats!

Fortunately for me, there is nothing else on the list I will miss.

  • All the items listed above are not fit for human consumption, even if the company's moral pedigree were as white as snow.  Eat REAL, RAW, ORGANIC/LOCAL food as much as possible.

  • I’ve read of this before, but every time it just seems to get worse… does anybody know if Coke products are still ok?

  • Not to be flippant, but I'm quite sure one could find something equally morally objectionable about Coca-Cola's business.

I specifically think you'd find something to do with fetal cells in their business.

  • Not sure... but this is blatant, and the fact that PepsiCo is bragging about it, doesn't help their case.

I was ready to agree with you after quickly scanning through the list, but then I went back and saw that Quaker is on the list.  Their plain oatmeal is certainly a very healthy food.  We used Quaker oatmeal for years until we realized that we could save money on oatmeal out of the bulk bins, so hopefully we're currently not supporting the Pepsi Company.

Oh, wait, Sunchips are also on the list and we do buy those now and then.  They're very pricey but a tastey treat and seem to be healthy, but I can do without them in order to support the boycott.

  • Add Kraft and Nestlé, they partner with Senomyx just like Pepsico for the flavoring tests.

Kraft and Nestlé make a staggering number of products, staggering:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nestl%C3%A9_brands

    And Kraft:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kraft_brands

(People mistakenly believe Nestlé bought Kraft for some reason, Nestlé actually only bought Kraft's North American frozen pizza division I.e. DiGiorno and others)

  • Personally, I've been boycotting Kraft and Nestle for a very long time already. Heard about the Senomyx thing, and that just solidified it.
