    A colonic will eliminate many of the beneficial bacteria in the colon.  This is definitely a negative side effect.  I would think twice.

    I had to have a colonoscopy last November.  The surgeon suspected an aggressive form of colon cancer but found nothing.  It turned out that my symptoms were being caused by lactose intolerance.

    I found the preparation and the aftermath to be extremely disruptive to my body.  You don't want to do anything like this unless it's absolutely necessary.
