  • You'll always be "regular" -- if not too much so, if you know what I mean.

    Apples (and most fruit) act as a laxative.

    All good things in moderation...

  • Drinking apple juice is not the same as eating an apple and not nearly as nutritious. Even 100% no added sugar apple juice is pretty much just natural sugar water.  You are really better off drinking ice water and an occasional glass of apple juice.

  • Okay, time for your input!

    At my age, I have a lot of joint pain, HOWEVER, a few months ago in an article my husband read, it said:  That pure dark grape juice such as Welches, one gallon to one package of Certo, drink one or two glasses a day for joint pain.

    What a difference this has made in my life.

    google " Certo and grape juice " for details.

    For those of you who might not know what Certo is, its that stuff you make geletin with, you get it at any grocery store.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • Myrna,
    Thanks for that reminder.  I've read about that and years ago I was drinking grape juice with knox gelatin for awhile.  I don't know if I did it long enough to notice a difference.  Is Certo different than Knox gelatin?   :scratchchin:

  • Certo is different then the Knox but I am not sure how, I think it is "stronger".   There is a recipe on the packages of Knox gelatin called "Knox Blox", you make it with any juice, it really makes a nice snack for kids, my grand kids love it!

    You just make it, put it in the ref., till it sets, then cut it into squares and they pick it up and eat it.  Great for lunches for school too.  After it sets no need to keep it in the refrigerator.

  • The Certo is awesome for reducing tumors, also.  I can't find it anywhere though.

  •  :laugh1:  It makes my mouth water.

    The dry stuff is really yummy mixed with 1/2 part juice and 1/2 water.

  • Pectin is the gooey substance in fruits and gelatin is an animal product--ground bones and hooves and stuff.

    I wonder if its the resveratrol in the grape juice that helps the joints, if so then red wine can probably substitute. {grin}

    Thanks for the info.
