I just made this purchase at less than 1/2 the cost of the equivalent item on Amazon.com. They told me I should share the deal with all my friends and maybe get some store credit, and I thought that sounded like a great idea.
Vitacost.com sells their brand of organic coconut oil at $20.99 for 54 oz. They're shipping this item for free right now. Also, if you, like me, have never purchased from them before, you can sign up at the link below for a $10 coupon.

That brings your cost down to $10.99 for 54 oz.
I don't have personal experience with this brand, but have seen reputable sites recomend Vitacost again and again and the product itself receives high reviews. Here's the link to the product page:

I purchased my last round of coconut oil as a lightning deal on Amazon and paid more than this, so hopefully someone here finds this information helpful.

Thanks MD. This is god Coconut Oil. Its cold pressed, which is what you want out of coconut oil; not hydrogenated or pressed with chemicals. Thats a really good deal actually. I'm stocked up on amazon too though, and am wondering if I should move on this... :scratchchin:

With a few extra additives, it makes a good hair-gel substitute.

I think a few too many people must have done this. I saw it posted on several websites. Now, they've changed the price to $19.95 which puts it just below the $20 limit for free shipping.
ETA: Even the ad that shows up on this thread has the coconut oil price at $20.99! LOL!

What do you use coconut oil for? Do you cook or bake with it or just use it as a nutrition supplement?
-
You cook with it; bake to I believe, but I never have. Its worth researching I think OPM, but I also cook with olive oil, and butter. Its a bit different, and has as much of a hint of coconut as olive oil has of olives.
