The John Mcdougall M.D. diet is the correct and "traditional" diet. A saturated fat diet leads to ketsosis, and ketosis is not a blissful state.
Any low carb diet (high fat of any kind or high protein) leads to ketosis and there is nothing wrong with it in itself.
