  • I enjoy Brisk because it tastes good and is as sweet as other bottled sugared teas, fruit punchss or lemonades while having only 40g of sugar in 1 liter of it. However I won't buy it anymore because Lipton/Pepsi donates to Planned Parenthood. I don't know of any other sugared teas like Brisk that mix sucralose and sugar as well.

  • I like Honest Tea sometimes. Their sweet tea is good.  Coca Cola bought out Honest Tea. Oh oh.

I make my tea at home unsweetened and use my travel mug.
May God bless you and keep you

  • I heard that Pepsi uses aborted baby parts as flavor enhancers.  My friend heard this and stopped drinking soda altogether.

  • I highly recommend DIY, way cheaper. Get a massive travel mug, like those 1 gallon ones with the handle if you want sweet tea all day :D

Tastes way better too, Brisk tastes like chemicals to me. Probably because it's full of them.

  • I cold-brew (actually "brew" is a misnomer here, it's not "brewed") iced tea in the refrigerator, using Lipton bags and generic Splenda-like sweetener.  National Cup, if you can find it, is just as good as Lipton, cheaper, and doesn't have those $#@#@#@! tags you have to take off before you put the bags in the pitcher.  They used to have it at Walmart but I haven't seen it lately.  To approximate the Brisk taste, you could probably add "real" sugar and lemon until you get the taste right.  I find Brisk to be a sweeter variation on an Arnold Palmer tea/lemonade drink --- Arizona Tea makes the latter in full-sugar, half-and-half, and zero calorie versions, 50c a can at CVS if you can find it.  I get the zero calorie if I can, half-and-half if I can't.

I also like Snapple from time to time, but I find that whenever I drink it, I am seized by this powerful urge to daven, put a mezuzah on my door jamb, and have a nice corned beef on rye :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester: :jester:

  • I use Tetley tea bags of the sweet tea variety. Not available in Canada so I had to get them from the South.

I do use powdered iced tea mix from a Canadian manufacturer.

Caffeina and I do not get along very well so it usually decaf.

    Brisk tastes bloody awful. Sucralose....bleah
    Cane sugar....yum!

The whole point of Brisk is that 1 liter only has 40g of sugar. I don't know any bottled teas like it. I also like their fruit punch.

I just don’t understand why anybody would drink this stuff. I had a look at the facebook page and it’s weird. The colours are very offputting - to me at least.

Why not just brew a tea from from camellia sinensis or some other herbal tea, add honey and lemon to taste, drink it hot or iced. Cheap as chips and good for you. Plus there is so much waste in packaging so much of which gets dumped in poor countries.

  • My husband and I have two cups of tea each day.

In the morning, after his after-breakfast walk, he has a tea made with grated ginger root, honey and lemon. He has it strained and hot/warm. I have mine unstrained. I get all the ginger and lemon pulp. I let it stand all day so it gets stronger and have it cool or add ice if the weather is hot. Delicious!

After our evening meal we have a combination tisane made with 1 camomille teabag, 1 peppermint teabag, lemon grass, lemon balm, lemon verbena, and thyme, the last four all dried from our garden. We add honey and lemon to taste and have it hot. Great stuff.

Always avoid drinks which are artificially sweetened.

I avoid HFCS whenever I can, and I read the labels.  I rarely have Brisk, but they carry it in a machine at the pool of a nearby mini-resort my son and I sometimes visit overnight.  (Somehow it tastes better in an ice-cold can!)  I did notice that the calorie count is lower than you would expect (80 cal in 12 oz I think), and I never put a bite of food in my mouth unless I know the calorie count.  (There are exceptions such as local diners where they don't post this information, but I can ballpark it in those cases.)

Anything with cane sugar tastes better apart from being natural, or at least less of a problem than the syrups. Ice cold out of a glass bottle I find has the best taste, for said drinks.
I will confess I enjoy those slush beverages from time to time.
Drinking more carbonated spring water these days. It took a while to find a brand that tasted good.

I enjoy various bottled beverages made with cane sugar from time to time, such as Mexican Coca-Cola and the various Crush drinks that are specifically labeled that way (they come in the little squat glass bottles in the paper holders), but I typically stick to no-calorie drinks.  I did have a glass of red wine (Charles Shaw, the "three-buck Chuck" FKA "two-buck-Chuck" from Trader Joe's) last night with cheese pizza and Mediterranean pasta salad, I might take a dozen alcoholic drinks in the space of a year, and that was one of them.  Very satisfying.  Chuck had been sitting in the refrigerator of my other house for months untouched.
