There are 'debunking' pages about alkaline water out there, but for what little it's worth, from what I've read so far the ones that attempt to fail to do so, and show flaws in their method, being too sweeping to dismiss it -- perhaps they are too suspicious from the start due to perhaps not even giving it fair consideration due to some of the sources of the product's own flaws of method.
Certainly claims of health benefits are exaggerated in some places one expects. That is the common thread of immorality in advertising today, and especially in alternative health care.
But, I am someone who has to take antacids fairly often, and so it's clear that alkaline water would provide the same benefit as antacids at least.
And, also, if you're using the xylitol regimen for tooth health, well -- part of the effort against tooth decay is preventing the mouth from becoming acidic. So there again, alkaline rather than acidic water -- it would certainly be helpful no? :)
What more benefits could there be? I don't know. But more certainly.
I don't have one of the systems. But I'm interested. And wondering if anyone has any direct experience.
A bit expensive though, the systems, and the DIY projects well, there is a bit more to them than some of the instructionals put out it appears.
