    What the article actually says is:

    “At one Chicago hospital where the city's first COVID-19 vaccine was administered on Tuesday, 40% of the staff said in a survey earlier this month that they would not take it.”

    Ok, so that’s what they said earlier in the month, but when the rubber hit the road on vaccination day, how many (if any) actually refused?

    The article doesn’t say, unless I missed it.

    And 40% is disappointing to begin with.  60% are going to take a vaccine that was rushed into production by a company that has immunity from liability?  Lemmings.

    If they want to fire people for refusing to take it, they can and will. The vast, vast majority of states are at-will employment states, meaning they can fire someone at any time for any (legal) reason.

    The hospital CEO not liking Mexicans, as a hypothetical, is not a legal reason because that's based on race, but refusing the Covid vaccine would likely be because it's not based on one of three criteria: race, religion or sɛҳuąƖity.

    That is what I expected. We were told the hospital worker would be the first to get the vaccine, and they are no fools. I bet the 60% that take it will be the lower level floor sweeps and such.  
    We were told that the next in line for the shots will be the elderly in old folks homes, and I think they will all take the shot. The Blacks and Latinos will line up for the shots too.

    • Many will not take the vaccines who work in healthcare. My company which runs facilities in two states has about 10-20% who will take the vaccine. My HR director said that so many of our medical personnel have said they won't take it that the corporate office is worried that if they demand vaccinations that they will have 0 staff to run the facilities. Most places are running on skeleton crews because many already fled in fear of COVID.

    I never would have guessed resistance would be that high among medical personnel (who would have received the most pro-vaccine indoctrination).  This lifts my spirits a bit.

    The resistance should be from Catholics too. 
    I have a few Catholic family members that will get the vaccine because their priest or bishop said it’s ok and they can keep their position in the hospital.

    Wise. Another case above of anaphylactic reaction to Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Alaska. However, if it kills no more than can be concealed the staff will absolutely have a choice. Take the vaccine as a hotel worker, or not, and be unemployed. Travel restrictions and so much else appears to be in the pipeline for anyone rejecting this vaxx.
