Two people on this forum have identified themselves as having Asperger's syndrome.
Having heard of this but not really knowing what it is, I looked it up. The explanation of Asperger's syndrome from the Mayo Clinic describes what is identified as Asperger's syndrome but, honestly, the clinical definition they give would indicate that most people have Asperger's syndrome to some extent or another and the treatment they prescribe is "therapy".
Could someone on this forum explain exactly what Asperger's syndrome is? I get the impression from the information sheet from the Mayo Clinic that Asperger's syndrome is nothing more than modern psychologists making normal human behavior to be a psychiatric disease.
Frankly, if all Asperger's is is, "People with this condition may be socially awkward and have an all-absorbing interest in specific topics," the this "condition" affects virtually everyone to some extent.
