  • Two people on this forum have identified themselves as having Asperger's syndrome.

Having heard of this but not really knowing what it is, I looked it up.  The explanation of Asperger's syndrome from the Mayo Clinic describes what is identified as Asperger's syndrome but, honestly, the clinical definition they give would indicate that most people have Asperger's syndrome to some extent or another and the treatment they prescribe is "therapy".

Could someone on this forum explain exactly what Asperger's syndrome is?  I get the impression from the information sheet from the Mayo Clinic that Asperger's syndrome is nothing more than modern psychologists making normal human behavior to be a psychiatric disease.

Frankly, if all Asperger's is is, "People with this condition may be socially awkward and have an all-absorbing interest in specific topics," the this "condition" affects virtually everyone to some extent.

This is an effect of their methods, which use statistics to make conclusions about individuals based on observations of populations. They consider anyone who is not the "average man" to be abnormal, and for them abnormality is bad. However, abnormality isn't necessarily indicative of a psychological illness. It could simply be a sign of the person's unique personality/individuality. Loss of touch with reality and with one's senses is the best indicator of a psychological disease; Fr. Ripperger discusses this in his Introduction to the Science of Mental Health.

Thank you, Geremia.  I'm beginning to think that one of the symptoms of Asperger's syndrome is the inability to answer simple questions about Asperger's syndrome.

  • It is usually manifested as a sensory processing disorder and an inability for a child to take past experiences and use them to predict future situations. For example, a child with autism will not be able to function with a substitute teacher even if he has had experiences with a substitute teacher in the past. A normal child will take his past easy experiences with a substitute teacher and become happy about having another one because a normal child will rightly conclude using past experience that the day will be easy.  A child with autism will be scared out of his mind because it will be a totally new experience for him because of his inability to pull from past experience to predict what will happen that day. His executive functioning is compromised and cause/ effect if very difficult to impossible. Abstract thought is also difficult to impossible for many autistic children. They also have difficulty with sensory processing. For example, a child with autism may have difficulty processing light and might prefer to be in a dark room or under a cloudy sky.

  • It is a form of brain damage that causes developmental delays, disorders, and quirks of all types. It is a spectrum disorder and each child is unique as to what sensory issues each child experiences and what cognitive dysfunction  is present.

  • I have worked with many autistic children and you gain the ability to pick them out over time due to experience and the fact that they present so similarly.

  • A good youtube channel is called Autism Understood. It is done by a British autism specialist that explains it all very well.

  • I need direction forADHD, my grandson of 11.  Taking a drug(?) morning and afternoon.  Has hurt a student and stealing from parents.  A lot of hurt going around.

Any suggestions.  I would like to see him with chelation and maybe hair dialysis. for detox and work from there with vitamin shots.

We live in the Phoenix area.

I am hoping for directions to take, to steer away from places/docs that will be a waste of time and money.  To get right to the source of help.

I was  a school bus assistant and for 10 years I was with the special needs.  It is so sad to see what parents go through and etc. I learnt a lot to see courageous parents and then those who put all of the responsibility on the society.  ADHD and Autism can take a lot of energy to see to their needs.

    Any suggestions I would appreciate.

  • They don't have an idea of the baby's sex until fairly late, anyway.

True, it can be used for sex ID, but that's not the reason they promote ultrasound viewings in cases of prenatal children (they call them "fetuses" because they promote abortion too).

A person is a person, from the moment of conception and forever, but that fact is a big problem for the sex-crazed anti-life pagans gaining political power, like in Planned Parenthood, etc.

The reason doctors and hospital counselors encourage mothers (they are MOTHERS even before they give birth to their child or children!) to have ultrasound tests early in their pregnancy is for one reason only: To Determine if the "Fetus" Has Downs Syndrome, Spina Bifida, or Any of Many Other Physical Abnormalities, Such That the Mother (not so much the father) Can Decide Whether It Is Time for an Abortion, to Avert the Problem of Raising a Defective Child. (-- Which doesn't exist yet because it's a Fetus until the moment the head leaves the birth canal, which is the reason - based on the тαℓмυd doctrine - that the Fetus is just a "lump of tissue" until its head passes out of the birth canal, which is how Partial Birth Abortion gets its basis, to kill the child before it becomes a child!!)

Any father who puts his foot down and forbids even the anticipated OPTION of considering an abortion based on the outcome of an ultrasound is RED FLAGGED as an oppressive male chauvinist PIG who wants to control women and ought to have NO POWER to do so according to the satanic feminist agenda of pro-abortion activists such as those found around Planned Parenthood and in the Democratic Party such as Crooked Hillary Clinton.

    Read it and weep.  Lacrymosa.
You refer to amniocentisis, not ultrasound.
