I will do my best to be brief as it’s kind of a long story. So here it goes!
I attribute my conversion to Tradition to three things:
1. My moral conscience shifting from liberal to staunch conservative. I found myself agreeing with Christians a lot and started to wonder why… haha. Started listening to Michael Knowles a ton and found out he’s Catholic.
2. The Rosary. I started to get obsessed with Catholicism and was too nervous to go to mass and figured it was an easy way to practice the Faith. I was meditating on the mystery of The Crucifixion and it hit me like a ton of bricks what Christs death means for me. After I finished praying that night I decided then and there that I had to become Catholic and nothing would get in my way of doing so.
3. The Dimond Brothers. I found their material right away in my research into the Faith and became enamored with Tradition before I’d even approached a priest for catechism. However, I was nervous to go full Trad bc I just didn’t know enough to trust myself in doing so. I found the only Indult parish in my diocese and started attending mass/catechism there. I did catechism with the priest there for around 6 months and then left there a month before class ended to go to the independent chapel I attend now. The closer the time came to entering into the NO/Indult I couldn’t in good conscience join them, and I was the only guy I knew from the NO/Indult who saw things as they are and it really bothered me. I began catechism with our priest here at Our Lady of the Pillar and he gave me a thorough understanding of our faith. I did about 10 months of class with him one on one until he deemed I was ready!
Our Mother didn’t waste any time getting me into the Traditional Faith! Becoming Catholic is the greatest choice and achievement of my life. I have been blessed beyond belief.
