Very close to my own, as it happens. November babies tell the tale of a happy Valentine's Day :laugh1:.

Happy Birthday Matthew!
Any special plans for the day?
Would you rather have a cake or steak to celebrate?

My wife's mother is taking us out to eat tonight, so I guess the answer would be "yes".
Cake wouldn't work, as I'm really trying to lose weight, using a low-carb strategy.

Oh, yes, I forgot --- zapomniałem --- sto lat!
For all y'all non-Polonians out there in the tradosphere:
Sto lat, sto lat Niech żyje, żyje nam. Sto lat, sto lat, Niech żyje, żyje nam, Jeszcze raz, jeszcze raz, Niech żyje, żyje nam, Niech żyje nam!
This translates roughly into English as:
100 years, 100 years, May they live! 100 years, 100 years, May they live! Once again, once again, May they live! May they live!
If you ever go to a Polish wedding --- and I had one of those! --- you will hear that song more times than you will be able to count. Very similar to the wedding scene in The Deer Hunter, mutatis mutandis for Russian instead of Polish.
(As regular readers know, my son is half-Polish, EU citizen, remains to be formalized. And I did uncover some distant Eastern European ancestry, along with that Senegalese business. And Neanderthal. No surprises there.)

Many happy returns Matthew. :pray::pray:

Thank you everyone for your kind birthday prayers and wishes!
And a big thanks to L. for the paypal gift!
And a hearty thank-you to two others, who sent me items off my Amazon wish list. ($9 pack of varactor diodes a couple weeks ago, and a $6 pack of mosfet transistors yesterday). I look forward to building radios with these parts!
Sincerely,
Matthew
P.S. For the first time, I'm 100 years old according to this formula: round your age to the nearest decade. Now round that number to the nearest 100. Remember: 5 and above rounds UP, 4 and lower rounds DOWN. Last year, I would have ended up at 0 years old. This year, I am 100 years old. hahaha

Apparently I posted in this thread too late, when it was ready to scroll off into oblivion.
It has come to my attention, this evening, that AT LEAST one of the individuals I thanked didn't see my public thank-you message (above).
So to make sure the other two *do* get my message of gratitude --
