I am translating "Histoire Sainte" 1440 pp. by Abbé Monléon +1981.
Never been translated, so here is an excerpt by Paul Claudel who wrote the Intro....for your birthday present:

...regarding how to strive for perfection, Saint Gregory of Nyssa replied by first quoting this passage from Isaiah: "Look to Abraham and Sarah, who gave birth to you." He then added:

  These words are addressed to souls that have gone astray.
