    • Thank you, everyone.  Greatest gift is just having had the chance to go to Mass and receive the Sacraments today.  I also get to go again this afternoon, since one of my kids couldn't get out of bed this morning, so I'm taking her to a 4PM Mass.

    Excellent ... and thank you.  I was actually born on Holy Trinity Sunday back in 1968, so I've always considered Holy Trinity Sunday my birthday (despite being a movable Feast).

    • I was reminded of how short life is and how we need to make the most of it when my younger brother passed away at the age of 48.  It seems like yesterday that I was at St. Thomas Aquinas seminary, but it's going on 35 years now.

    When I was born, WW2 had just ended 23 years prior.  I thought that was ancient history as I was growing up, but about 23 years have now passed since 9/11 ... which doesn't seem like it was that long ago.
