i read this fascinating book while back. i wondering if any of you know dupont's history. i remember that he make lot of assumptions based on communism, but wondering if those assumptions still accurate since the book was written 40 years ago. what gave him the authority to write the book. what kind of guy was he. if he was alive today would he probably be a traditonal catholic?

what other books should i read that cover similar terrain? i tried to read the book by birch but found it strangely formatted and confusing.

I enjoy that book.  It got me started on my journey of learning Catholic prophecy.

I think his assumptions based on communism are still valid.  The Luciferian spirit of Marx is still alive and seething around the world, and America is falling prey to it on a daily basis.  He places some stock in what Nostradamus says.  Some don't like that fact; but I, too, accept Nostradamus to an extent.  I take him with a grain of salt--for I don't know exactly what gave him his visions.  (I guess I'll know when I die.)

As for his biography, I don't know much.  I do know that he had a series of newsletters or pamphlets that I wish I could read.  I don't know by what authority he decided to write the book; all I know is that TAN agrees to publish it.  Who can blame a man who, in these days, feels compelled to find out what kind of Chastisement the world is headed for?

You ask about other books?  Bar none, I recommend Trial, Tribulation and Triumph by Desmond Birch.  Absolutely great and encyclopedic.  Birch is thorough and only utilizes approved sources.

  • Dupont also had a periodical called "World Trends" -- at least that is the name that comes to mind.  IMO, he was a genius and a truly pious man.

I have Trial Tribulation and Triumph , and have never been able to finish reading it.

GV, have you read it or know anything about it? I am hesitant to go back through my books I purchased from my pre-sede days.

Yeah, it is a rather dense book that seems to repeat in the first third or two thirds of the book.  But once you get to that last third of the book, and it starts discussing the Three Days of Darkness, and the Great Monarch (and later, Antichrist)--I find that at that point, the book is madly interesting and useful.

I bought the book and skipped straight to that part.  I look at non-fiction books like that in the same way I look at manuals or encyclopedias.  No need to feel guilty for skipping parts of the book!
