Unfortunately, some of us would be deprived of this occasion due to the cost of the trip without financial help. As a result, we have decided to try and fundraise the majority of the costs by organising activities such as bagpacking at supermarkets, performing at Catholic masses and even a 25-mile cycling challenge.
Dear Brumi2,
Welcome! You look like a lovely group of girls. I wonder which one you are.
Actually, those who cannot afford the money for this trip are blessed indeed, in that they could be prevented from participating in the fraud that is Taize. But they will not be better off, if they are not informed as to why they are better off.
I really hope you will stay around, or at least come back, as I suspect that you might be too busy with your efforts to raise money. I do hope you do come back to learn more about the Catholic faith. The one propagated at Taize is NOT Catholic.
One thing struck me as an example of the falseness of this movement and the lack of a true Catholic sense, is that you would say you "perform at Catholic masses" to raise money.
Most of us here on this forum know that the "Catholic masses" you refer to are not Catholic at all. Nevertheless I suppose you must believe in the importance of the Mass and the idea of making money by "performances at Catholic masses" is truly outrageous. I sense that you are innocent of all this, but it is never too late (or too early) to learn to develop an awe of the Mass that would cause you to stop and think.
Don't be like me who came to it later in life.
There is no much to learn but you are young. Don't leave it too long as you never know how long you have in this world. I pray you will discover the Truth. You will not find it Taize.
God bless you.
