Hey Jane. I'm praying for you. Don't stop fighting! You must not give up. One way to "convert" a spouse is to focus on your spiritual life. When you're weary of feeling alone, pick up the Imitation of Christ, slip in a decade or two, or best of all try to get to Mass. The consolations that follow will help you carry this heavy cross. And, hard as it might be, try your hardest not to be bitter towards your husband. Understand we are all weak.
JaneC, I have only 2 suggestions to add to Raphael's post.
First, I suggest that you continue to trust your priest's counsel rather than these posters on this site or any other site. It's interesting to me that some posters seem to believe that they can give advice even though they cannot know an anonymous poster's full story. I'm sure that your priest knows you and your husband much better than any of us on this blog or any other could know from your short posts.
My one other suggestion is to ask your husband to pray the family Rosary each day with you and your children. If he will not join you, lead the Rosary yourself with your children. The family Rosary has overcome many such battles. Pray also to St. Michael.
Please be assured of my prayers for you, your husband and your family.
