Quote from: Pelly
Pelly = a pelican

So that's it!

Very interesting topic, SG.  It should be linked to "Introduce Yourself".

User names either :
1) intrigue me as in " I wonder what that means to this person?", i.e., Sigismund, Pelly  (and many others)
2)  elevate my contemplation i.e., Soulguard, Frances  (and many others)  or
3) make me smile i.e., Mamachacha, Neil Obstat

Re: mine.  When I came to tradition 12 years ago, I was particularly fascinated by the whisper of the priest after the Gospel.  I looked up what he was praying and it touched my soul for some reason.

We need a thread "What Mass prayers or parts of prayers do you find most inspiring?"

I came to Tradition around the same time I read The Interior Castle by St. Teresa of Avila. At the time I felt I was only in the 1st mansion, as she described it. I added 'tenant' because it was (is) my intention to continue to move forward, and not to stay forever (own)  in the first one.

It honors Our Lord as it means "Jesus, the King" in Dutch. I'm not of Dutch ancestry, rather Hispanic, but I can speak it at a relatively conversational level.
