Hey, I had one of those moments when I did something that only a Trad could be expected to happen to him/her. So I thought it might be fun to hear what other humorous or interesting things y'all have to tell. So without further ado,

You know you're a Trad when you have a nightmare that you accidentally broke the Eucharistic fast on a Sunday morning.

Um, insta-canonization hardly makes you a Traditional Catholic . . . it makes you a modernist. A real, well-formed traditionalist would say a prayer for the repose of the person's soul -- something that might actually do them some good -- and not make a rash judgment on an issue that is reserved to God. Wow, with even self-professed trads thinking like this, is it any wonder every Novus Ordo funeral is a mini canonization?

Anyway, I'll try one: You know you're a traditional Catholic when you get dragged to a Novus Ordo wedding, and you're the only one who stays afterward to say the Leonine Prayers!

No, EWTN itself is liberal. Though, I suppose a non-Catholic liberal could be turned off simply by the fact that EWTN is Catholic.

You know you are a trad when you go to see "Murder In the Cathedral" performed by the local high school and you irresistable answer "Et cuм Spiritu Tuo" when the kid playing St. Thomas says, "Dominus Vobiscuм."

Or when you want to shout, "It's pronounced vobeescoom", not "vubizcome"!

Lol. Alas, that is not at all the case with many trads, who swear by EWTN.

I watched Life on the Rock once, the episode about the CMRI nuns who left to go back to the Novus, and found it full of subtle, subliminal diabolical mockery. For instance, the "Monk Cam." The host of the show, a supposed monk, portrayed himself as this chilled-out slacker, slouched down in his seat and drawling like someone in a pothead comedy. He said stuff like "I like to wake up in the morning and not have to try to figure out the universe," referring to how he prefers to believe Benedict is Pope because that means his universe is in order, I guess.

You know you're a Trad when you drive past the Novus Ordo Church 5 minutes from your house every Sunday and continue another 50 miles (driving past several other Novus Ordo Churches along the way) to get to a Tridentine Latin Mass.
