You Have Swallowed A Camel If:

    You may be a blind guide who strains a gnat and swallows a camel if:

    You send your children to an SSPX school, you attend an SSPX chapel with beautiful music and incense, and have your daughters dress appropriately for mass, but then you allow your daughters to go about the rest of the week in short shorts or tight blue jeans and exposed belly form fitting tops.

    It looks to me like this is the standard with SSPX parishioners now. What knid of a father would allow their daughters to walk around dressed like that? I have news for you, not one of you is a real Catholic, you are straining a gnat and swallowing a camel.

    See, this is the type of thing I was referring to in my 'thin-skinned' post previously.
    Up to this point, your post was fine (whether or not I agree with some/all of what you say - that's a different issue). But then you take on the role of judge, taking it upon yourself to declare who is and who isn't a real Catholic. As the hip kids say these days 'who died and left you in charge?'
    Your rights to your views and opinions are sacrosanct. You have no right to pronounce judgement on anyone. Please, please stop doing so.

    While I understand that you are ailing and will account for it, this makes it all the more imperative to check the sort of nonsense such as quoted; the FACT is that we judge like this all the time, it is unavoidable,  and you're kidding yourself if none else to think otherwise.

    It's at least 60 years since they have been saying that phrase, I hope everyone has learned by now, that the "hip kids" were just like all kids, idiots. The Vatican II revolution was all about updating and becoming relevant to the "hip kids". The "hip kids" were really just crying for guidance and the adults followed them instead of leading. The blind leading the blind. We can now look back and see the foolishness. Most people still are following the children instead of guiding them.

    Growing old has not made many people wiser, just made them older idiots.

    • I agree with you. You have to be Catholic everyday, not just on a Sunday. It is a full-time mission since we are ambassadors, soldiers, and slaves for Christ. :-)

    That is all true, however, the daughters are under the direct control of the parents and they do not even teach them how to live a moral life. They do not teach it because they do not see anything wrong with the way their daughters are dressed. I'm talking about girls 10 and up, the mothers buy them the clothes!  If you can't teach your own children, you can forget about the teaching the world outside of your family. The world sees Catholics for what they are, hypocrites. They speak about religion, but they live and look like everyone else with immoral dress, language, business practices, divorce, pre-marital sex, birth control, abortions, drugs...........
