Alright, SOS, here are some goats!
The first one is our boer buck, Avenger. He's quite the character. The second one (tan and white) is one of our milk goats, Daisy. She wonderful to milk, but it's a rodeo trying to catch her. The third one is my favorite goat, Dede, and her kid.
So cute! And your buck is quite handsome. I need to find some goat photos of mine to post- I know I have some cute Angora and Pygmy pictures. How much milk does Daisy yield at peak lactation? I've wanted a milk goat but have contented myself with my does for now- but let's face it, Angoras and Pygmies are not the best dairy breeds out there! I milk my ewes too.
We got 2 gallons from her for awhile. That seems like quite a bit, but a dairy goat with excellent genes can produce even more. Before we had our nubians, my mom had an alpine that produced large amounts of milk. We'd take a gallon off her a day easily even while she was nursing an orphaned calf.
I like the milk from nubians better, but in my experience (though it's limited) alpines will give a more generous amount in general.
