Another point:
If CathInfo seems to be down, it's 99.9% going to be some technical issue -- an upgrade that resulted in Apache not running, or the permissions on the PHP executable being incorrect. Yes I know that's technobabble for many of you, but the point is that
if CathInfo is down, it's a technical issue and I need to be informed of it. You need to memorize my e-mail address: MATTHEW at CATHINFO.COM. Shouldn't be that hard to remember

CathInfo isn't going to be taken down by anybody. I'm self-hosted, so there is no one to contact to have CI taken down. It would take something apocalyptic and hard to pull off: like a government action (think: swat team) or a lawsuit (which you're not going to get Pro Bono, so you'd need some deep pockets, especially since it would be a baseless and frivolous lawsuit: CI is not exactly guilty of anything. Guilty of political incorrectness DOESN'T COUNT. That only gets you "CANCELLED" and I can't be CANCELLED (made infamous, unpopular, "can't get a job in this town", can't star in any more hollywood movies, excommunicated) as I said. This isn't Germany, and right now so-called "anti-semitism" for example isn't against the law.
P.S. I would point out that CathInfo hasn't been shut down by anyone since it started in 2006. So there's that bonus argument of long track record as well :)
