OBITUARY: Traditional Catholic Bishop John Hesson Dies
Hesson Left the New Order Sect in 1982 to Go Independent
    From: The TRADITIO Fathers

Traditional Catholic Bishop John Hesson, of New Jersey
Has Died on August 26, 2017
By 1982 It Had Become Clear to Hesson that the Newchurch of the New Order
Was Not the Catholic Church, but Was Instead Destroying the Catholic Church
Hesson Went Independent and Began to Serve
Independent Traditional Catholic Chapels and Missions
In Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and throughout the United States
Particularly at St. Mary's Chapel in West Collingwood, New Jersey
In 1991 Fr. Hesson Was Elevated to the Traditional Catholic Episcopacy
At the time of his death, Bishop Hesson had retired to Florida
Traditional Catholics Have No Reason to Fear
That the True, Traditional Catholic Faith Will Not Persevere through the Centuries
The TRADITIO Network has been informed that Bishop John Hesson, O.S.B., died on August 26, 2017, in Florida, where he had retired after serving as a traditional Catholic priest and bishop.
Hesson studied at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, staffed by the Benedictine Monks. He graduated cuм laude in philosophy in 1963, then entered the Theology department on campus. In 1966 Bishop Hesson earned a Master of Divinity degree magna cuм laude in Systematic Theology. On May 20, 1967, he was ordained to the Sacred Priesthood in the traditional Sacrament of Holy Orders by the Ordinary of Camden, New Jersey. For fifteen years Hesson labored in the field of education at Paul VI High School, at Camden Catholic High School, and as Dean of Men and Chairman of the Theology Department at St. Mary's Preparatory Seminary in Penndel, Pennsylvania. During this time he earned a Master of Arts degree in Moral Theology from La Salle College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
By November 1982 it had become clear to Hesson that the Newchurch of the New Order was not the Catholic Church, but was instead teaching anti-Catholic doctrine and morals and simulating an invalid New Order Mess. Hesson left Newchurch and began to serve independent traditional Catholic chapels and missions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and throughout the United States, particularly at St. Mary's Chapel, West Collingwood, New Jersey. On June 12, 1991, Hesson was consecrated a traditional Catholic bishop. At the time of his death, Bishop Hesson had retired to Florida.
True Catholics, Bishop Hesson was one of scores of traditional Catholic bishops around the world who maintain the fully Traditional Latin Mass, Sacraments, doctrine, and morals, together with the thousands of traditional Catholic priests, who are ordained in the traditional Sacrament of Holy Orders, not the invalid Protestantized Novus Ordo "installation" rite of 1968. True Catholics have no reason to fear that the true, traditional Catholic Faith will not persevere through the centuries, as long as priest and bishops, like John Hesson, take most seriously the Apostle's commandment: "stand fast and hold the Traditions" (2 Thessalonians 2:14/DRV).
