  • I don't think almighty God was too pleased with the "altar" with horns...

  • "When the Devil smiles at me,
I go to Rio, Di Janero,
    with my amigos,
    we'll have a blast at a non-Catholic mess"

    or perhaps

"Gather us in at Rio de Janero,
swallow us up like honey to flies,
If we all burn it wont be from sunshine,
but from the hellfire that fall from the skies."

I could go on but I am getting nauseated already by the thought of this literally conciliar temple to not-the-Heavenly-Trinity that I believe and know.

Like a snake consuming its own tail.......
Da pacem Domine in diebus nostris
    Qui non est alius
    Qui pugnet pro nobis
    Nisi  tu Deus noster

Wonder how many widow's mites that cost?
"Let us thank God for having called us to His holy faith. It is a great gift, and the number of those who thank God for it is small."

  • It is really quite disgusting. All Modernism is. I could not be happier to see it destroyed.

What a temporary altar ought to look like (from the Paris-Chartres pele (sorry, I can't get the accents) of this year:

It isn't the SSPX (being rather the pilgrimage organised by Notre-Dame de Chretienite (the paucity of accents, again, sorry). It is a magnificent altar.
Old-fashioned is good, modern is suicidal.

That picture is the diabolical stage prepared for the papal mass during the WYD in Rio de Janeiro.

The place got flooded and mass had to be transferred to some other place.

  • There is no way any engineers would have planned this.  They would never
have built a seating area surrounded by a flood plane.

The only way this could have happened would be if there was a bigshot
organizer with no common sense, telling the engineers what to do, like
Dilbert (comic strip) and he would have said "I don't care if it's risky, just
build it cheap.  We're not putting in any fancy drains or bringing in any
truckloads of dirt.  Just build it."

So, you get what you get.   Been there done that.

Now, what are they going to do with it?  Who would want this stupid
thing for anything in the first place?  What are all those square prisms
for?  It looks like Devil's Postpile, state park in CA.

  • .

At least at Devil's Postpile you can walk around on the tops of
the posts - they're bassalt crystals, with 6 sides, and VERY long.
So nobody's worried that walking on the tops is going to wear
    them out.

God does a much better job with these shapes than WYD architects do.
