The consequences of nuclear war are massive. The sheer loss of life would be in the hundreds of millions. Surely God cannot allow such things to happen to His creation. Would traditional Catholics survive unharmed?
Before I reply, why I ask, would anybody give this post a thumbs down? This is a forum and jman123 has only asked a question he or she would like discussed. If one is not interested why not just carry on. If one gives a thumb down, at least have the decency to say why.
God once flooded the whole world leaving only 8 people alive. Today the world surely has reached the same depth of sin as it was at the time of the Flood. No worse, for it is post-Christ rejection.
God punished the world for the sins of mankind.
Had he left the world continue that way billions of souls would have been lost to Hell. God did not want that either.
Catholics know terrible wars are allowed by God for the sins of man. A chastisement is predicted by the Virgin Mary. How that will pan out only God knows.
As ihsv says, keep the faith, say the rosary and thank God He has given you the grace to believe in Jesus.
