    • My wife just got wheeled in to her planned C-section to deliver baby #8 -- our second boy. The last time we had a boy smartphones weren't invented yet (2006).

    Please pray that all goes well.

    We plan to name him after St. Thomas ("Aquinas, or the Apostle?" "Yes.")
    and St. Leo.

    Mother and baby are both doing great.

    Thomas Leo weighs 8 lbs 10 oz.

    Yes, his initials will be TLM (get it? Traditional Latin Mass?) That is a coincidence, but a welcome one.

    Bp. Zendejas will see to it that he gets baptized as soon as possible, taking into account the particular circuмstances:
    A) my wife will be in the hospital through this Sunday (Passion Sunday)
    B) the following Sunday begins Holy Week
    C) the ongoing, severe priest shortage in the Resistance
    D) I don't exactly live in a high population corridor of the USA. There are no other Resistance locations "in the area" if you define "in the area" as being a 10 hour drive or less. The only exception is Stella Maris Chapel on the Gulf coast, but that's 3.5 to 4 hours away. Texas is almost as bad as Alaska -- i.e., extremely isolating.
