I know that the anonymous forum has always been abused, and I think also probably used to nefarious ends.  I'd be surprised if even ten percent of the threads over the last year or two really need to be anonymous.

But why the sudden influx in bland political posts?  Though I'm hard pressed to find the intent behind the posts in question, they're all just very plain, run-of-the-mill, "blog-like" observations with varying levels of truth and some content that's mildly objectionable (from my view, it sounds like somebody's been watching too many right-wing pundits, but whatever) but hardly riot-worthy.  At best, these posts seem to fall into the "ignorable" category.

    What gives?
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • Who knows?
