Why is eamon being slandered by this nutball "trinity?" I do not understand this as I have a been Eamon's friend for over two years and he is a kind person. Is trinity a father Cekada supporter? What is going on here?

The nutball will answer you. In the first place slander is only slander if it's false. What I said was true, just as what Eamon said about SGG may have been true.
The point of the whole exercise, for those who can't figure it out, is that those who live by slander, die by slander. No matter how true the allegations, one should never spread them. Jesus gave us the right way to handle this. If your brother sin against you, go to him in private, etc. People certainly remembered that when I disclosed a few of Eamon's secrets.
Some say these were public sins and therefore fair game. I have no doubt that SOME people knew about SGG. But not nearly as many as do now. What people forget is that these are real people suffering real damage, not some stupid television show. I think you can see on that thread that this is so, and I hope you will gain some sort of empathy from it. It appears that you have developed indignation---did you have any for the others that are continually being bashed on this forum?
No? Eamon is your friend so you are upset about this. Well, all these people are souls that God made. You should be upset about them, too. Anything else is a double standard and worse---you endanger your own soul in participating in this. So the next time you pick up some yellow journalism, remember this. I am appalled that this is what Catholics do and call it good.

Your slander against Eamon and Eamon revealing very real public abuses by priests at SGG towards children and adults through their evil actions is not comparable at all.
-
Sedetrad you are not helping the healing to bring this up again, either!

I'm just waiting for the seeds to sprout and I wish they'd hurry up. I'm a sede, I don't recognize B16 as pope. But I do recognize him as a man who shouldn't be ridiculed.
What healing is that, Myrna? I've seen charity called for time out of mind here. I've seen bashing going on and on. Is a turn around the healing you hope for?

Detraction is an unjust disclosure of another's faults. I believe your "justification" for disclosure is hardly justifiable.
Eamon attacked me first...
The above isn't even true, but even so, it does not justify your behavior.

Loved the scene in Ann of Green Gables, where Ann said those horrible things to Marilla's lady friend, next door nosey neighbor, ( Rachel, I think) because Rachel called notice to her red hair. Ann lost her red headed temper; later Marilla forced her to go and apologize to Rachel. Ann dresses up and meets Rachel on the porch swing, and says. "I am sorry I said those aweful things to you, even if they were true, I shouldn't have said them anyway."
What a profound quote, and Rachel accepted the apology.

Bingo. I counted on you being astute. You always are. Do you suppose it would help if I said that, too? How, how, how do I get the message across?
FYI, I am a fan of that movie, too.

Thanks Trinity,
Although that was not a religious movie, I have never forgot that lesson, from that quote, and think of it often in my life.
It was a little comical, but had great significance.
People talk about humility but seldom manifest any.

Oh, I hope that changes very soon. How much better it is to stay close to the ground, than to fall from a great height.

:applause:Amen to that, Myrna! Calling Trinity a nutball is a sin against charity!

Trinity and Myrna like to play victim, but are rather cultic, evil crones....why you think I loathe to come here much anymore..they are unstable and are allowed free reign and have formed their hateful posse and turend out in numbers...
they are not, really ,Catholic and very unstable....best to ignroe them!!

Andrew
they work there way, dividing and cutting/slashing people right and left....
very disturbed ,angry and cultish....
Eamon is a good fellow, but he ran, apparently, afowl of their mafia like group......
-
Oh, Emerentiana, I went at this on my own hook, so in a way I asked for it. I'm grateful that Myrna figured it out. I really didn't think it would be so unobvious, as it seems to have been. If others were half as honest and just as you are charitable, there would be no problem. At least, that was what I was counting on.

Belloc,
Im sorry you feel that way about me. Ive been a Catholic since the age of 21. I dont know what the pre Vatican 11 church was like. I do know that Catholics in those days had agreat admiration for some of their priests and bishops.
I would like to start a thread entitled "What do you admire about your favorite priests today?".
This is dedicated to todays priests, not priests from the past. What do you think about that, Belloc?b]
