I should clarify -- I have nothing against Bishop Katherine in particular -- but I, as a man, could never follow some woman with a hairdo, earrings, lipstick, a woman's voice, etc. as an authority figure.
She might be a nice wife, mother, etc. but she could never be a good bishop.
God meant for men to be the leaders, especially for His Church -- that's why their nature is such from the time they are born.
Even the post-Vatican II Catholic Church hasn't sunk to the depths of having female ministers.
Anyhow, I understand why Catholics give up "altogether" when they stop going to Mass every Sunday. They might want to follow sin, some vice, laziness, the world, etc. but why bother with sentimental nonsense like you get in most protestant faiths?
