  • Of course I wasn't saying that Chesterton's reason is the only reason to be Catholic -- I just thought it was interesting.

    For example, look at how degrading it is to be worldly -- how easy is it to make fun of a "child of the 70's" or a "child of the 80's"?
    Objectively, there is plenty to make fun of, because they're ridiculous.

    But if you are a Catholic, and adhere to the teaching of the Church, your actions will never be ridiculous -- either in hindsight, or in the present.
