The modern world is SO fake -- just look at the label (below). A picture of the Swiss Alps, which CLEARLY leads you to believe you are drinking spring water.

The world is so detached from reality it's sick.

Pepsi says Aquafina is tap water

Labels on bottles will be changed to clarify that the water originates from public sources.

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Pepsi announced Friday that the labels of its Aquafina water bottles will be changed to say the product is tap water, according to Pepsi-Cola North America spokeswoman Michelle Naughton.

"The label currently reads: 'Bottled At The Source P.W.S.' The change will be made to spell out 'P.W.S.' by reading 'Public Water Source,' " Naughton told CNN.

Naughton could not provide a time-table for when customers will see the label change on store shelves, she only said "the change will occur over time," as new labels are created so as not to waste any labels already produced.

In addition, Pepsi released the following statement: ""If this helps clarify the fact that the water originates from public sources, then it's a reasonable thing to do."

Coca-Cola also admitted in 2004 that its bottled water Dasani is tap water. The label on the bottle says the water is filtered through a "state-of-the-art purification system" but does not state where the water originates from.

Shares of Pepsi (down $0.44 to $66.40, Charts, Fortune 500) fell nearly 1 percent during midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange. Shares of rival Coke (down $0.30 to $52.68, Charts, Fortune 500) also edged lower. Top of page

Aquafina and Dasani?! :barf: Those brands of water are the worst Ive ever drunk! Ive drunk every brand of bottled water there is on the market and Aquafina, Desani and Sparklets are some of the worst! They all have a funny taste to them. The only water I drink is Ozarka or filtered and purified rain water.

Most bottled water actually originates "from a municiple source." That is to say, it starts out as ordinary tap water. However, it isn't as if the water companies just run the tap into their brand-name bottle, and that is the end of the matter. The brand-names start out with ordinary tap water which they then process in their own facilities, usually involving multiple stages of filtering and/or reverse osmosis. They might also add a proprietary blend of mineral salts to improve flavor (water which is too chemically pure, like distilled water, tends to taste "flat"). This is the water which is then sold under the label.

Reverse Osmosis and state of the art filtration will definitely remove hormones and pharmaceuticals from tap water. Even removes fluoride, for that matter, a highly toxic substance (primarily waste from aluminum mining) which renders water unfit for human consumption.

Plastic bottles are easily recycled, and the vast majority of them are recycled. The eugenicists want people to drink tap water and stay away from all bottled water, and will say anything to try to get people to poison themselves.

Tap water is not your friend unless it's been highly filtered, and most filters won't remove fluoride, so keep on your toes. I only buy water in the clear plastic bottles (polyethelene or PETE #1), the cloudy plastic containers apparently leach chemicals into the water; you can taste it.
