St Polycarp is my favorite Saint:

"Eighty and six years I have served Him, and He has done me no wrong,  how then can I blaspheme my King and Saviour? Bring forth what thou wilt."

Polycarp was burned at the stake for refusing to burn incense to the Roman Emperor.

So far I'm the only St. Simeon Stylites devotee.  How anyone can think of him without chuckling, and becoming a devotee, is beyond me.
