Is there anything in the world that isn't currently being faked out of proportion these days? It seems as though now is more of a better time than ever to become a saint when the modern world is so convoluted in its own fake game of charades. How do you cope with being in a fake world?

My fake friends invited me out to a picnic and a BBQ on July 1 (Canada day), and I don't want to go because they are fake. I want to say no to them, but I just don't have it in me to do that. I don't, however, have any problem equivocating and making it seem like I don't have time for them. What shall I do? (PS: That isn't why I made the topic, btw) I said that I would get back to them tomorrow or Friday.

Fake car = A car that is made to look better (or faster or w/e) by adding stupid add-ons that do nothing. (For example: Google "ricer car")

Fake phone = Mini computers that you see people carrying around with them. How often do you actually see anyone talking on their Blackberry "phones"? Never. You wouldn't even think they were capable of typical phone activities if you didn't already know. They aren't phones. They are mini-computers with international talking capabilities as an added bonus, yet they are referred to as "phones".
