Pope bows to the Queen of Jordan.

It's disgraceful.

Aren't people who visit the Pope supposed to kiss his shoe?
-
Another effort of our miserablist Pope to destroy every remnant of tradition, symbolism, and ceremony left in the Church, as well as his own dignity.
-
Aren't people who visit the Pope supposed to kiss his shoe?
He claims he doesn't want to be called pope, so what can another expect?
He is more honest than SSPX.
-
I don't get the bowing at the worldly things schtick he has going on. I saw a pic of him praying in a private moment (I think with BXVIEm) and his head wasn't bowed; I remember seeing the yellow teeth.
(Speaking of which: is it too "worldly" to drop your teeth in Efferdent occasionally?)

Francis just want to be the Bishop of Rome.
He said on the day of his election on 3-13-13 that the Cardinals
came throughout the world to elect the Bishop of Rome.
-
Even if he doesn't care about the religious aspect, which of course he should, he still outranks her just in terms of royalty. He is a sovereign. She is a queen, but not a sovereign one. I am sure she knows that and was quite surprised at his bow.
-
:confused1:Kiss his shoe? I thought you kiss his ring, like one does a bishop. Has he spent a lot of time among Asians? There, bowing is the proper means of showing respect. Somehow, I do not think that is what is happening in all these publicity shots.

It is a courtesy to her and a demonstration that it is better to renounce all that is vain in this world. It is a call for her conversion to the Catholic Faith.
On a sabbath Jesus went to dine
at the home of one of the leading Pharisees,
and the people there were observing him carefully.
He told a parable to those who had been invited,
noticing how they were choosing the places of honor at the table.
“When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet,
do not recline at table in the place of honor.
A more distinguished guest than you may have been invited by him,
and the host who invited both of you may approach you and say,
‘Give your place to this man,’
and then you would proceed with embarrassment
to take the lowest place.
Rather, when you are invited,
go and take the lowest place
so that when the host comes to you he may say,
‘My friend, move up to a higher position.’
Then you will enjoy the esteem of your companions at the table.
For every one who exalts himself will be humbled,
but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Then he said to the host who invited him,
“When you hold a lunch or a dinner,
do not invite your friends or your brothers
or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors,
in case they may invite you back and you have repayment.
Rather, when you hold a banquet,
invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;
blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you.
For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Remember, it is better to choose the lower place in this life so that the higher place may be your in the next. He bows to her so that in the future she may bow before Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament.

All of these people doing the opposite of tradition for shock value
is just not shocking anymore.
Its the other way around now.
Now tradition is shocking and tradition is what peegs interest.
The church suffered the collapse in the 60s when it traded tradition for shock value and replaced its ranks with child molesters and homos and liberals and communists and freemasons.
But tradition is what gets people because it is the only shocking thing in a godless world, because people are amazed that someone has the bawls to stand up to the universe.

Tell us, what did Francis say to the Muslim Queen to aid her in conversion?
-
Bowing to an apostate is not humility, but the Conciliar apologetic herd would have you believe it is "humility". This behavior is showing reverence to an earthly creature that is void of the kingdom of Heaven. It is paying homage to a person who is not helping effect "on earth as it is in Heaven". Furthermore, here is a woman (the "queen" of Jordan) who would have nothing to do with the man to whom she is married, if he were not a "king" and worth perhaps billions of dollars. Christ never wanted anyone to bow before these false "kings" and "queens" who are consumed by mammon and power, and void of Christ. A simple smile and slight nod of the head, and/or shake of the hand, will suffice in showing respect and diplomacy to apostates who are heads of states, or anyone else. No bowing is necessary. When bowing, Francis is just perpetuating the illusion that earthly kingships void of Christ still matter, and the status quo therein is to be honored. This is a bad message to keep perpetuating. If Francis is going to bow before a royal head of state, then it should only be before a Catholic one, and vice versa. What is with these obvious nєω ωσrℓ∂ σr∂єr puppets that transcend parties and religion? Bush literally held hands with the Saudi king when walking together during visits; and Obomba bows to the same king ding-a-ling; now we have Francis bowing to a Muhammadan harlot of prestige; and Cameron recently refers to a rabbi as "my rabbi".
-
hmmm... the visible head of Christ's church on earth bowing to a Muslim woman. Now what message would that send to Muslim MEN? To those who are organizing the new Caliphate?

Of course, you know what will happen if Obama meets with Bergoglio!!!
The two will end up cracking their heads together when the bow to each other. That's the photo I want to see.

With all the bowing and kowtowing this guy does he's probably more of a covert Buddhist than a closet Mason.
Either way, he's a joke of a pope.

I had one of those strange dreams last night, one that I remember, usually I don't remember them. This one was one of those dreams we all have sometime that was quite vivid.
I dreamed that "pope" Francis made an announcement that he was going to retire, NOT RESIGN, he was going to retire. He picked a committee of three people to represent the Trinity, one person was a women; anyway in my dream or nightmare whatever you want to call it, this committee would handle all affairs that a pope would handle while he would still be pope in name only.
Don't worry too much about it, my dreams never happen, just thought I would mention it for entertainment. True story, I did dream it!

But it sure does sound plausible.....
Are you sure your dreams never happen, or is it that they haven't happened yet?

Well all I will say about that is, if it happens you read it on Cathinfo. FIRST!

Can you be sure, dear Myrna, that the ones you don't remember didn't happen?

P.S. Remember what St. Paul said? "Extinguish not the Spirit. Despise not
prophesies. But prove all things; hold fast that which is good" (I Thes. v.

Taking note of the "bowing" going on is a good thing.
This is where a little experience with Eastern Catholic
traditions comes in. Part of the Melkite ritual involves
the congregation bowing from the standing posture,
with one's right hand making a sweeping motion across
the floor, as if to wipe the back of one's fingers on the
grass or whatever. I have no idea what the origin of this
is, but it is a gesture of great respect toward God in the
rite. The Western Rite has no such motion, and Western
Catholics at large are oblivious to the connotation,
unless they have LEARNED about it from an Eastern Rite
Catholic! IMHO this is one reason that Westerners have
so many back problems: we don't make these motions
so our backs get stiff and inflexible over time!
Don't miss the fact that the change in the Bishops'
Consecration formula in 1968 (before the Newmass,
actually!) was nothing more than an accommodation of
Eastern traditions into the Roman Rite - which is a violation
of Tradition in the first place!
I know for a fact that there have been people in the world
who don't recognize bowing (pronounced "bough-ing") but
prefer to think the word is "BOW-ing," as in a bow-and-arrow,
(pronounced "boe-ing" ~ like a BOEING 757, for example -
a plane that is oddly SMALLER than a BOEING 747 (?)).
If I had not seen this firsthand I would not have believed it.
It is not a bow, that is, an act of deference or honor
shown toward another person, but rather a physical
arching of one's back, as if doing some kind of stretching
exercise, an act to which no meaning is attached!
"Maybe he has a backache? Or he might be doing his daily
routine that he does at this time as a health ritual for himself.
He could be suffering from a degenerative spinal syndrome
of some kind, and he may be trying to slow its progress."
You think I'm joking? I am not joking.
Especially Americans have pretty much forgotten what kingship,
queenship, royalty, majesty, dignity and station in life is all
about. They've reduced it all to "human respect" or
"respectability" or "reputation," maybe even "fame" or
"notoriety."
And a pop star doesn't "bow" to anyone. If you see a pop
star making a bowing motion, you may think he's checking
his shoelace or that spot on his pants leg, or maybe one of
the diamonds on his bracelet just fell out or whatever.
He could be stretching his hamstrings before he breaks into
a break-dance, suddenly, without warning. He (or she) might
be trying to change the blood pressure in his head for a
second or two. I've known people who suddenly start
bending and stretching at odd times, as a kind of state of
consciousness. It looks very odd if you're not used to
seeing it, but this is going on for over 20 years now.
It's all subjective. There is no meaning attached whereby he is
showing a sign of anything to someone else.
This is not a fantasy. I have seen it happen, firsthand, that
is, the refusal to think about the act of showing deference
to another human being, but instead just a physical posture
the reason for which is NOBODY'S BUSINESS and not to be
interpreted as some manner of communication whatsoever.
It is my suspicion that what has happened in one generation
has been the latent CONTEMPT for the principle of showing
such deference by "bowing and scraping" has resulted in this
subjective suppression, a willful abandonment of the concept
itself, as if in an attempt to artificially impose a neutralizing
effect overall, to bring everyone to a "common denominator"
of egalitarian equality, a kind of pseudo-Masonic "level playing
field," a groundwork principle for the One World Religion,
perhaps?
/////// On a Different Channel Altogether ///////
There is the fact that Bishop of Rome Bergoglio/Francis is a
Jesuit, and Jesuits have a long history in Asia, where you will
find not only Buddhists but Shintos. Both Shinto and Buddhist
traditions include a lot of bowing (not BOE-ing). There is no
confusion there, in Tibet or Tokyo, or Kyoto, for that matter,
what is being communicated when one person bows (not
BOZE ~ not bad speakers BTW) in front of another person.

Does anyone remember Keith Moon?
Eccentric (in a word) drummer for The Who ~ he was seen to
suddenly and for no apparent reason, to bow to touch the
floor or to seem as though he was almost thinking of touching
the floor but changed his mind mid-bow or something.
I saw Mick Jagger do this as well, perhaps in imitating Keith Moon?
A number of "Rock stars" got their inspiration from watching the
antics of the pseudo-psycho Moon.

Ann Barnhardt (http://www.barnhardt.biz/) weighs in:
6. Did I see Pope Francis bow to the “queen” of Jordan? Of course. Heck, I’m shocked he didn’t genuflect. Oh, but I forgot, he *can’t* genuflect, right? Eyeroll. Bottom line: As a “Jesuit”, Pope Bergoglio has been indoctrinated with a hatred of the See of Peter and, like all hippies, hates any notion of authority. (Who am I to judge? I’m just the super-humble chair of the diocesan community of Rome, man. Whazzup. #Selfie ) He refuses to comport himself with dignity, much less the dignity of his office, which by the way is an Absolute Monarch, because he doesn’t BELIEVE that Peter has any real authority, and he believes that the Church should be a decentralized quasi-democracy. The parallels to Obama really are striking. Like Obama, Bergoglio is an affirmative-action placement who is totally unqualified, completely infatuated with his own press and image, utterly incapable of intelligent extemporaneous speech and yet so lacking in self-awareness that he actually thinks his rhetoric is at genius-level because the lapdog press can’t flatter him enough, and, like Obama, has an agenda to deconstruct the very institution he heads from the inside-out. The man is a scourge.

I object. The Queen is lawfully married to a man who is one of the only Middle East leaders actively seeking the betterment of his desperately poor countrymen while hosting hundreds of thousands of even more desperately poor refugees AND doing whatever he can to foster peace in the region.
Neither King Abdullah nor Queen Rania are enemies of the West nor of the Catholic Church, as the picture would readily indicate by the gracious and regal bearing of both.
The Jordanian monarchy is an anchor of hope for both Christians and muslims living in the Middle East.
And Queen Rania is an elegant, deeply intelligent and active participant in the many charities her husband and his government sponsor. She speaks more languages than I do, and that applies to probably quite a few of us, and exhibits REAL femininity and class compared to the harridans we have in our own pitiful excuse for a government.
I do hope and pray for the conversion of all Jews and muslims and heretics and schismatics. But until that occurs, it comes with no good grace to mock or, worse, slander ANY good soul who has done NOTHING offensive, either personally or officially but, instead, is showing up her co-religionists by her presence at the Vatican.
