  • Just so everyone knows, this guy is extremely anti-Catholic.

  •  :laugh1: I think its quite cute. He does make a good point, albeit a slightly condescending one. It reminds me of a piece of advice a priest gave us as schoolkids: "To a girl wondering if she's found the right man or not, I tell her "look at the way he treats his mother". If he treats her with respect, with love and with reverence, he's a good guy. If he treats her with a lack of respect, takes her for granted or speaks mockingly of her, even in the smallest sense, he's probably not a good guy.
And to the men I say "You really want to look at her mother....!" :laugh1:

 He's been single for a pretty long time if he's not married by now. I remember this being talked about at least six years ago.

Hmm, I guess I'm not a good guy then, since I have a pretty love/hate relationship with my mother, who is very controlling of me. Oh well. Not like it matters anyway, since in all likelihood I'll be single for the rest of my life. At least now I know why...

The padre was being a tad ironic too lol, it doesn't apply for everyone...

  • So long as it's not obstructing our duty to God, it's of utmost importance to love our parents. And if I'm dating a guy who happened to be talking ill about his parents (or mine) without sufficient reason, I'd definiteley think more than twice about it - even if he's oh so good looking guy!
