We live in a rural area, but only a 30 min drive from the downtown area of a major city.
Things continue to develop all around our area, though, so in 10-20 years, our community might be swallowed up by a nearby city.

We live in the country, close to a "city" of 6,000.  Although it seems smaller, because most of the people living within city limits actually live in the country, if that makes sense.  We're 50 miles away from any large cities, thank goodness!
