It is clear that whatever the wise men on this thread answer you come back to this unsubstantiated prophecy of Malachy and try to fit this poor fellow into the role of future pope. Your obsession with him is blinding you. That is what is preventing you from considering Traditionalism...
Besides,carrying the sign of redemption on his forehead does not equate with the stigmata.
Instead of following these mapcap prophecies, you ought to read the teachings of the saints, the early Church Fathers, the history of the Church, The Scriptures. You are grasping at straws when you could be grasping a good strong rope and being pulled aboard.

I think there is enough evidence that He is alive. Its possible He isn't but more likely he is. Your not required to believe that, but i see it as something to celebrate. It will show that the Catholic Faith is the true faith. It will mark a bad time for wicked people however..since most of them will be devoured by demons during the 3 days of darkness. Can't wait for that as well. So thats another reason I suppose. I would say the people who do not live by logic are the wicked ones.
