Come to think of it, these guys might actually be merely thrill-seekers.
Not a few of their "targets" are soldiers, and the families of soldiers. Nobody needs
to be convinced that soldiers are very protective of the memory of their departed
comrades-in-arms. Reverence, respect and devotion are strong motivators.
The Most Hating Family in America couldn't have forgotten that all soldiers are
trained in battle. They must have paused to think for a moment that training includes
the use of weapons, such as rapid-fire, high-powered, accurate rifles. One, or
perhaps two well-placed snipers, could utterly wipe out their entire "mob scene" at
one of these protests.
Who would show up at their funerals?
Wait... They don't have funerals because they think that's ancestor worship.
So nobody would show up. Their whole religion would die out in one day. For a
bunch of thrill-seekers, that might be a pretty exciting thought! It could be why
they're so dedicated to this "cause."
