  • Tell me. What positions do you all hold? Sede or Not?
It seems so simple to me: He speaks like a heretic, therefore he is and can not be the pope. But, I guess there is more to this. And, so, even if Benedict speaks, or John Paul II spoke heresies there is no Cardinal that would be willing to call them before the Magesterium and question them. If they say whoops, that is not what I meant fine. But, if they stick to it they would be excommunicated.
Just curious if anyone is confused like me.

  • I know that Benedict XVI is very much filled with Kantian philosophy and other German errors. That explains most of his beliefs and actions.

As an innocent young man he made the mistake of entering a German university where Modernism was rampant. Modernism really destroys the mind (and the Faith) which you can learn all about by reading Pascendi and Lamentabili (as well as the Anti-Modernist Oath)

Since we can all agree he is not a devil, we can conclude that he is a member (or at least a potential member) of the Body of Christ -- and as a soul redeemed by the most precious Blood of Christ -- so he needs our prayers -- badly.

    In Christ,

    Matthew

  • No, Trinity there is something scary about him. And, I to see that he is the only apparent person on the Chair of Peter. And, I do realize that he and those surrounding him are a product of there education of modernism. But, there comes  a point when you read and learn the truth and you must say mea culpa. I have renounced my former modern thinking. The problem is these people think they are smarter that St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas. That is pride and that is from Satan. No, they are not Satan themselves but we do know that some of them serve him  in secret. Maybe during the end times the papacy is to mirror the sins of the people and that is why whe keep getting Hegelian Pontiffs.

  • I to became obsessed withe the N.O. It is funny that there is this  :rahrah: feeling what with EWTN, and Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavins. The feeling with all of these people is like they and the Pope have reached celebrity status. Now, if the world treats them as such, and it does, then it is no good. These celebrity like persons of the NewChruch are welcomed everwhere, their books are sold by major publishers. I guarantee that if Thomas Drolesky asked them to look at one of his books that would show him the back door. But, Ex-Protestant-turned-Catholic-turned Charismatic Catholic Scott Hahn no problem.

And, when John Paul released a new book, the media gushed. When Benedict speaks the news media is aglow.
To me those are not good signs.

The problem may well be that their superior education was to much for their intelligence level. Because of this they believe man should be elevated. The problem I have, I say it again, if I can read the writings of the past popes and learn my errors, then certainly the thinkers like JPII or B-16 should be able to.
    They do not.
