    • They are the "spiders" which index a website -- putting all the pages it finds in the search engine index (or database).

    So the Googlebot is what puts new Cathinfo topics & posts in the database so that random googlers can end up on Cathinfo!

    • How did you make it so that they are identified in the "Who is online" bit?

    Obviously, this forum's a different set-up from Ignis, but I wondered if there was some universal way of doing it!
