If a woman argues like that over things that don't really matter in our day-to-day lives, then expect to have some real 'knock-down-drag-outs' over finances, childrearing, in-laws, and draperies. Just sayin...
or the man more than 5-10 years older.Being the same age is the ideal.
Yeah, the whole Adam & Eve thing sure means God is really dumb, eh?He should have let Adam sit around alone until he was at least 60 before made Eve./sarcasmBeing the same age is the IDEAL.That is how God MADE it.
Actually, thats completely wrong. A bigger age difference such as in the Holy Family is the ideal.the near age thing is a concession because most men can't bear to be chaste for so long.I'd rather stick with the Holy Family as my example than Adam and Eve.
God's plan is perfect. AgreedHe made them the same age so they could procreate, No, the age at which male and female are fertile differs vastly from each other. The female is fertile from early teenage, the male marginally later teenage. But women are not fertile beyond menopause, around 45, while the man can still produce offspring up to the mid 60's and beyond. There's a 20 year gap between the two.It is not ideal to have a 30 year old wife with 6 kids alone and widowed by a 50 year old husband who drops dead of a heart attack, depriving the kids a father. noOneImportant got it right.
So much for the Holy Family then. St. Joseph was at least in his thirties while the BVM was 14. Some Fathers of the Church reckon he was an elderly man.I don't think we can claim we know better as a society.
