Back when I was in the novus ordo wasteland, I remember staying after mass to pray a little more.... An associate priest came out to the "alter" (meal table) or near it for something, and before he returned to the sacristy or wherever he went, he looked up at the ceiling with a smile as he twirled his body around. He didn't make a big commotion, and I think he thought he was not observed, or maybe he thought it was ambiguous enough that nobody would question it if he was seen. I thought it was strange. Does anybody know anything about this behavior? Is it some kind of freemasonic or pagan ritual, or something along those lines?
