  • If you arrive second, you do not have the right to have anyone move over to give you the best seat, like say the middle aisle seats, unless you are handicapped in some way that makes it difficult for you to sit anywhere else.

I'm always amazed at the people who arrive late and expect people to move over from the middle aisle seats. What I do is move out to the aisle and let them pass through to the middle seats.

The best way to avoid altogether the types depicted in the film (and all distractions) on Sundays, is to sit in the first 2 rows. They never go there.

  • Even today it's topical, at least someone who hears the Mass Of All Time. The chorus of coughers is a thing some times of years. Perhaps nowadays you won't have cornerboys shuffling a bit late into the back of the church.

  • Perfect video summary of the first world problems and events leading up to and preceding the Crisis in the Church. (*Nice version)

Of course, the third world problems were much worse, so much so that Bishop De Castro Mayer had to seperate the sexes to one side and the other and this remains even today, sometimes leaving children unattended on one side and mother and father no where near each other in the church, among other issues.
We conclude logically that religion can give an efficacious and truly realistic answer to the great modern problems only if it is a religion that is profoundly lived, not simply a superficial and cheap religion made up of some vocal prayers and some ceremonies...

  • I got a good chuckle out of this one. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  • The log is in Mrs. Armstrong's eye, and in all pew-end hugger's eyes. We should accommodate our brothers and sisters and find a seat towards the center of a pew, preferably in the front pews. This allows those coming in behind you to file in easily.

In my experience, pew-end hugger's are the ones that bolt out of church at its missal est.

  • I enjoy sitting to the front. Fewer distractions and I can see perfectly without having to look around people's heads.
