The comments by Nono are reminiscent of Father Cekada's and his "friends" posting styles.

  • Wouldn't be surprised. Some people here like Father Cedaka, David Hobson, and "Pope" Augustine just can't stop coming back under different accounts.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • Nonno must be Father Cedaka. Look at how similar his posts are to Father C's original account (Bazz).

  • If people have some special way of knowing the precise identities of various posters I really wish they would let the rest of us in on the secret.

There are a number of similarities between posters here before Nonno that I have noticed, but how would I possibly know?

How, exactly, do those of you who know the true identities of posters, discover these facts?

    Thanks.

It's not about knowing. It's about using your intuition to see that, given the similarities in the way these people post, you'd want to think they were the same person...
For those who I have unjustly offended, please forgive me. Please disregard my posts where I lacked charity and you will see that I am actually a very nice person. Disregard my opinions on "NFP", "Baptism of Desire/Blood" and the changes made to the sacra

  • I am positive Nonno is Father Cedaka. People all have their different posting styles. If you showed the posts of someone who posted here frequently without showing me who it was, I'd probably be able to correctly guess the user and I'm sure most others here would be able to as well. Posting styles are usually easy to recognize. That's what gave David Hobson away when he was on his Lewis account, he retained the posting style he used on his Gortan account. He posted the "important" part of his words in bold and red color. Nonno underlins the "important" parts of his posts, that's what he did on his Bazz account.

But it's not just his posting style that gives him away. When I made a post directed at him last night about being Father C, he didn't reply to my post or address if he was Father C, he just gave my post a thumbs-down (I knew it had to be him because it showed I had a new critic, and Nonno is a fairly new account). He was also sticking up for Father C on the "Removing All Doubt" thread. It's so obvious it's him.

It's pretty interesting that people like Father C and David Honson can't seem to stay away from CatholicInfo. I don't know if they're desparate to participate in a forum discussion of some sort, of if they're here to dig up informtion (I know that's why Hobson posts here, he tries to dig up dirt on Matthew to ruin his reputation, but it doesn't work because Hobson has already messed up his own reputation). What Father C and Hobson will do is wait a few months after they're banned and then come back on another account hoping people will have forgotten about them and their posting styles. But like I said, posting styles are usually easy to recognize. "Pope" Augustine will actually mix up his posting styles when he comes back, making it hard to tell if it's him sometimes. But in this case, I know Nonno is Father C. It's just so clear to see.

  • I am really confused, truly I am.

Why is it that when people come here they are forced to give their real name?

Tis true I haven't read all the notes nor threads here, I would love to but just don't have the time, so I am out of the loop, especially on this about revealing true names.

Most of the people here use a moniker anyway, and only a few like GV use a moniker and give their real name as well.

Can someone please explain why only certain people are asked their I.D. and not others.  I can understand why some of you want to keep their identity a secret, its a choice that Matthew allows.

Spiritus, what is your real name?

    Please pray for my soul.

A linguist could probably provide a detailed analysis of specific stylistic details unique to an individual, but I think for the rest of us, writing (especially persuasive writing) is unique to an individual, like the inflection of a voice.

Common sense would indicate that once a priest defrauds and slanders/libels members of his flock, he's given up any rights to anonymity among those whom he has caused so much trouble.

Did he say that an anonymous person was coming to the church picnic with an AK47?

I don't know what that has to do with anything, but I would never reveal my real name on the internet. Not that I don't trust the person who's asking me, but rather who may be reading. Especially with people like GoogleBot and Yahoo! Slurp always lurking.

I'm demanding Nonno reveal his identity because he is Father Cedaka. I'm waiting for him to admit it.

  • Um, right.  :laugh1:

I'm not even married yet. Matthew is married and has kids. I couldn't be him (unless I'm his younger brother).

  • Actually, I'm Matthew.

I'm also Pope John Paul II, come down from heaven, to deliver unto all the Catholic faithful more fruits of the second Vatican council! Oh, and, did I mention that I'm scipio_a as well?
