  • We have a High Mass this Sunday, and it's going to be the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Good old "Cogitationes", which seminarians at Winona got to hear once a month for the duration of their stay at the Seminary -- every First Friday.

The chant parts I'm fine with. But I need "Cor Arca" in modern notation so my organist can play it.

I found the Liber in modern notation, but it's the 1924 edition (?) which apparently doesn't have the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (?)

Was it really that recent of a feast?

I don't understand why they'd go so far back, all the way to 1924.

  • An organ accompaniment for the Cor Arca can be found in the Saint Pius X Hymnal.  It is the first hymn in the book.

Here is a link to a free downloadable copy online of the Hymnal:

Our choir often sings this for Mass, and it is a lovely piece!

    Hope this helps you! :-)
