The Remnant and Catholic Family News both went overboard with the election of Cardinal Ratzinger.  Both papers seemed to think he was a great friend of tradition and even refused to accept the facts when it became evident that he is not.

I don't think it's fair to say that about Catholic Family News.  The Remnant is clearly cheerleading conciliarization.

I don't think CFN was ever that crazy about Benedict.

The Remnant, however, seems to think he's an improvement.

I say we try to pull off the upset and make the Neo-Caths go crazy seeing a Trad newspaper win.

Firstly, who is the "we" you refer to.
Secondly, what is the name of the "Trad newspaper" that will upset the Neo-Caths?

The only Catholic newspaper I subscribe to today is The Four Marks.

I'm not sure the National Catholic Register has ever been Catholic and I did not know it was owned by EWTN.

TK, if you can, get a copy of Chris Ferrara's "EWTN: A Network Gone Wrong."  It is a classic post mortem on how the network ended up as a shill for Brave New Church's ecuмaniacal revolution at the hands of ex-prot-turned-neo-con-Catholic entrepreneurs.

I can assure you, CFN stood alone in 2005 and since as a clear warning to the Trad movement of Benedict's unorthodox philosophical and theological musings.
