  • In the event we move to VA due to my husband's job, what chapels are worthwhile (I hate to even put it that way!)?  We would need to be near D.C. but could live further out (Deo gratias!).

I know Fr. Ringrose has a chapel and I read that Fr. Gabriel (CMRI) goes to a couple towns on occasion.  Someone here said, I think, that Fr. Pieroni was not conditionally reordained after he made the leap to SSPX (can anyone confirm this?).  So, are there other options?

I don't know what our future holds, but I aapreciate your input.
    Thank you for feedback.

Olive, I highly recommend St. Athanasius, Fr. Ringrose's chapel in Vienna.  It is doctrinally solid, the people charitable.  There are plenty of means of getting involved with various apostolate's.  It is as close as you'll come to well-run diocesan parish of the pre-concillar era.  Whenever I'm in the area, it is where I hear Mass.
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

  • St. Augustine's in Carrolton is served by Fr. Joseph Collins and Fr.Ahern. Both Havel a good reputation. They are former SSPX priests.

  • We have been to Fr. Ringrose's chapel a few times when in the area.  We like it, certainly.
The problem is the cost of living there!  We'd have to live quite a distance from his chapel.  Still, it's not totally out of the question.
