I almost duplicated this film in 1997 by walking west on
Market Street. A few buildings recognizable that
survived the 1906 earthquake is the Flood Bldg on
Powell Street where the cable car turn table is
located, the Wells Fargo Bank, and the Ferry Bldg.
You still see streetcars, buses, cars. However
horse traffic have long since disappeared from the
scene. The people in the 1906 film were all well
dressed. Men wore suits, and hats. The women in long
Victorian dresses, with hats.
In my 1997 film, people were not well dress. I bet
many are dead even after 12 years because of aids,
drug overdoses. San Francisco is the ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖ
capital of the Left Coast.
