This is really a big problem. The collapse of the Church is accompanied by a rampant rush of filth.
For years , even as a child I could see things that were not right.
I was part of the original "trouble makers of the novus ordo" when we were fighting the Church closings. I thought about my great grandparents and my grandparents who were persecuted right in southern new jersey.
Crosses burnt on the front lawn because Mass of all time was being offerred at their home because during those times there was no Church. The priests had to wear disguises and dodge bullets because there was much hate for Catholics.
Yes, how many churches and parishes were destroyed by the KKK and the know nothings in Philadelphia/New Jersey. How many people were murdered and brutalized? How many Irish disappeared only recently to be found in mass grave in Pennsylvania.
We don't hear about that. All we hear over and over like a broken record is the h0Ɩ0cαųst which didn't even happen in America.
My ancestors had Mass at their home and probalby travelled to other secret places. In our area the first Catholics of Southern New Jersey held Mass in at Wistar glass factory in Salem County, New Jersey as brave German priests from St. Joes from Pennsylvania came to offer Mass.
Then Vatican II came in the 60's during peace, love, rock roll, drugs and sex and hippies. Yes, hippies who would later become the greedy ceos of big corporations. Many Catholics were upset with thse liberal changes. The priests, nuns and embraced these changes.
Many Catholics left the Church altogether for protestant or stopped going. Vocations drastically dropped. And for the rest of us , we were stuck to suffer the 60's music and guitars...yuck..and liturgical dancing and stupid boring homilies.
If it wasn't for the traditional Catholics, priests and Bishop Lefebvre meeting in homes and hotel rooms, there would be no true Catholic faith or Sacraments.
